The Lake Central Education Foundation awarded a Seed Grant in the amount of $8,861 to the Lake Central High School War Memorial Committee to put Phase II of the project in place.  Phase II is an opportunity to make the current War Memorial more interactive and to further highlight  students who have served in the military and walked the halls of Lake Central High School.  The Seed Grant will cover the cost of an interactive TV, produced by TouchPro, to allow for an evolving set of cross-curricular and cross-grade level lessons for students.  It will also allow Lake Central to move in the direction of becoming a “Purple Star School” within the state of Indiana.  The Indiana Purple Star School Designation honors schools that have displayed a significant commitment to service members, veterans, and students and families connected to our nation’s military.
