On September 23, 2026,  the Lake Central Education Foundation’ celebrated its 30th anniversary!  From a grassroots beginning to our current count of 703 funded grants totaling $391,656, the foundation has had a tremendous impact on Lake Central teachers and students.   We marked the occasion with a celebration at Lake Central High School featuring remarks from President Mike Seljin, Founding Member Martha Sandoval, Grant Committee Chair Melody Wolff, and Superintendent Sarah Castaneda.

Attendees also heard from several teachers who have been grant recipients who demonstrated the learning experiences they create in their classrooms with the materials they received with the grant funding.

During the event, LCEF also recognized our 2026 Partners in Education.  These 48 individual and business donors are also recognized on an art piece hung at Lake Central High School
